    A Powerful Trance Experience with Spirit on All Hallows’ Eve

    Happy All Hallows’ Eve and Samhain!

    Today is the day of the year when the veil is the thinnest. This means that both our individual energies are very open to the “beyond”, and the Spirit realm steps in closer to us.

    In celebration of the day, I had a powerful experience with Spirit, and I thought I would share it with you.

    This morning I entered into a deep, self-induced trance to receive guidance. After relaxing and repairing my physical body with light, I found myself drifting comfortably among the stars.

    I was held up by star light. The star light was pleasant. It shifted color and texture as it cradled me, and it traveled me to the destination where my communion was to occur.

    I was placed on a surface, a sort of platform in the middle of the galaxy. I felt/saw the guides who were there to attune me and to answer the queries in my heart. These guides were Lyran and presiding over all of it was Archangel Ariel. It was as if this was occurring inside of Ariel herself.

    I saw a throne, of sorts, in the middle of this suspended galactic platform. I say throne because it was a singular seat, and it was slightly elevated on the platform. It was sturdy and ancient looking, but not adorned or gratuitous in design. 

    Without words or gestures, I felt the guides invite me to sit upon it. As I hesitated, they clarified the purpose of the seat by asking me:

    “Are you ready to step fully into your genius? Are you ready to serve in your greatest capacity?”

    “Your genius…” struck my heart in a specific way. It was my genius into which they were inviting me.

    With their call into my genius and my service, it was clear to me that each of us has our own unique genius. Call it purpose, call it mission – I felt in this moment that my genius is my stamp of Creator. I could allow it to be manifested or not.

    I sat on the throne and proceeded to experience a projection from inside my being, projecting out in front of me, like a movie projector throwing the image onto the movie screen.

    The “movie” was holographic, and it was completely vibrational. It wasn’t like just watching a movie, it was the experience of resonance with a reality before me.

    Once again I seemed to pause from taking it in fully, as if there were questions or resistance inside me. I felt the guides step in, and I especially felt Archangel Ariel’s smile and tender nurturing pouring over me.

    I felt compassion from Ariel and all the guides present. The compassion worked like medicine, making clear to me what the resistance was. And as I received the compassion/medicine, I had compassion for myself and for all of us.
    Compassion for the fact that I (perhaps all of us) must heal from not knowing and accepting our own genius as a fact.

    Your genius is a divine mandate that you can allow or disallow. In this, we are equal with divine, for there is no judgment or punishment from outside, only the punishing feeling of being separate from our own divine genius manifesting through us.

    As I allowed the compassion/medicine to change me, my resistance was alchemically changed into courage.

    I allowed myself to resonate with the vibrational reality of my genius and my service. I winced and wiggled some of the time, as I allowed the resonance to dissolve the places it needed to out seat.

    It dissolved parts of me like fear, lacking self-worth, trauma, lies, and fear like a million more times.

    It was easy, though, because the compassion/medicine caused all lesser concepts to pale in the light of my newly restored courage.

    I am choosing to accept my divine genius and my highest capacity of service. I will keep allowing this process, for I know that it is a process.

    How to Know if You Are Psychic

    Do you think you could be psychic?

    Or, do you think it would be cool to be psychic, but you have never experienced such a phenomenon, so you assume you are not psychic?

    Do you think that psychic abilities are extremely in humans?

    If you are curious whether you could be psychic, then you’ll like this article.

    To answer whether you could be psychic, I will be giving you three key ways to know if you are psychic whether you have experienced psychism or not.

    Let’s start with the belief that psychic abilities are rare.

    It still seems to be quite common to think that psychic abilities are rare. In fact, as I was recently watching the Deep End, the Hulu docu-series on Teal Swan, this notion of psychic abilities as rare seemed to be prevalent.

    I disagree.

    In fact, I have seen hundreds of people open psychic abilities that they didn’t know they had. I have witnessed this by training them, myself.

    I would love for us to de-condition ourselves of the notion that psychism is extremely rare.

    Also, I would love for us to de-condition ourselves of the notion that psychism is impractical or even unsafe.

    One of the reasons that people believe that being psychic is only for very special people comes from what is implied when a psychic proclaims that they were born psychic. I don’t dispute that this person was born psychic. I only dispute the implication or inference that being born psychic is rare.

    I’ll expand on that thought.

    Some people say, “I was born psychic…” to intentionally imply that they are rare and special to command authority over others. Not all people who say I was born psychic have such intentions. I have heard people stated as a simple fact of their experience, and to my ear, they were not implying anything more. It is a matter of discernment. However, usually, there are more contextualizing statements that make it clear of their claims of “specialness”.

    In fact, I have heard a very popular spiritual teacher claim to be the most psychic person on the planet. Quite frankly, making such a claim is narcissistic gaslighting.

    Also, when someone shares their experience of being born psychic, a person who hears this may infer that they are exceedingly special, even if the psychic had no intention of implying this.

    The important take-away here is that in essence:

    Everyone is born psychic.

    Psychism is a communing with and perceiving the psychic realms… the subtler realms of energy.

    Babies and children naturally experience this. Most people are conditioned to stop paying attention to the psychic field as we grow up, and the perception goes dormant. And there is so much to why psychic gifts go dormant and stay dormant, but I will share just one reason why this happens to so many people.

    Everyone knows that we are living in the shadow of centuries of emotional abuse by religious and political institutions. These entities are threatened by personal spiritual sovereignty; by a person being magical all on their own.

    I’m a product of the Western world (in this life), so I’ll use just this one example. Both in Europe and in the Americas, outside of organized religion, there is a deep history of spirituality based in ancestry, nature and personal experience. Many of these ancient spiritual practices involve personal manifestation and magic which utilizes the natural spiritual abilities of the individual.

    This type of practice encourages a direct and personal experience with creator energy. It isn’t difficult to imagine how such individual weighted spiritual sovereignty is a threat to religious power.

    Religion steps in and drives a wedge between humans and God.

    Religion created fear, persecution, shame, terror to revoke the common person connection to personal spiritual sovereignty. If you can manifest your survival needs, then you are less afraid of the church and the state. Church and state have a habit of convincing us we are weak. So yes, I have a sense that part of the reason we believe psychism is either rare or unsafe is because we are still under the spell of ages of persecution.

    I don’t want us to fall back into that, do you?

    So let’s find out if you are psychic and then let’s claim our spiritual sovereignty – because nobody has the right to stand between you and God.

    So suffice it to say, I have the perspective and real-life experience that being psychic is natural and much more common than many people think.

    REFRAME + ATTUNEMENT

    Let’s start with a reframe and repair of what exactly psychic abilities are.

    The Intuitive and Creative frequencies are very close to the same energetic signature. You might think of it as a universal portal that you access. And if you would like to engage in a short exercise with me now…

    Soften your eyes, blinking slowly as you read, and intend to deeply receive this imagery I am suggesting for you…

    As you soften your eyes, nice, big, deep, cleansing breath…

    Imagine or sense that you are approaching a cosmic portal…

    Whatever that means for you.

    You open it or it opens for you…

    When you walk into this portal, imagine that you take one step forward into this space…

    And now, you can go to the right or to the left.

    Imagine or sense that going right is moving into the energy frequency of creativity…

    Going left is moving into the energy frequency of intuitiveness.

    And if you are standing somewhere down the middle of this space between creativity and intuitiveness, there is a blend of the energies, a marriage.

    You can take a moment to close your eyes to visualize or imagine this space of creativity to the right, intuitiveness to the left, and what the blending of the two is like down the middle. Come back when you’re ready.

    If you joined me in this imagery, you are welcome to open your eyes to your natural reading posture.

    Now, if you are wondering “What about psychic abilities? Where is this in this space?”

    Well, psychism is like the door, the portal opening to this place.

    Intuitive – a.k.a. psychic – sensing is as natural as creativity. And so, intuitive abilities are as varied as creative abilities. And it may be true, perhaps, that certain people are more inclined to certain kinds of psychic prescience. However, special kinds of talents do not negate the fundamental talent that everyone has.

    Let’s consider music as an example. Everyone who can hear or kinesthetically sense is on the spectrum for being musically talented. It’s true. If you’re thinking, “I can’t sing or play an instrument or I know people who can’t…” Remember how it feels to enjoy music. That ability to feel a different state because you are connecting to music puts you on the spectrum of musical talent.

    Now, consider someone like Cristina Aguilera. I remember seeing a documentary package on Christina and when she was very little she was known as the little girl with a big voice. She began singing at age 3 or 4 and begin winning competitions at age 8. Christina has a certain prescience as a creative artist that showed in seemingly undeniable ways when she was very young. Now, does that mean that is the case for all singers? Perhaps some people never try signing until they are teenagers or young adults, and then they discover, with really seeing what their voice can do, that they do have natural talent. That talent can be developed into a skill, or not.

    Connecting the metaphor back to the psychic prescience, perhaps you are thinking, “Well,

    I’m past teen and early adult years and I have never experienced psychic evidences.”

    Remember, we have come up in a paradigm that, at the very least, does not encourage psychic abilities and moreover, has a thousand ways to shame or frighten us from the possibility.

    Talents are realized through nature and nurture, possibly equally. So, if you are nurtured to fear, reject, or ignore the possibility of psychism, then it stands to reason that the talent would be repressed, made to lie dormant.

    THREE KEY WAYS TO KNOW IF YOU ARE PSYCHIC

    Here are three ways to know if you are psychic. I invite you to contemplate these points as I lay them out for you, and even after you finish reading. Contemplation is an experience of allowing your body to receive the information and then noticing it bubbling up to your creative mind, to your right brain experience, and engaging your third eye.

    Contemplation is different from analysis or logic. Contemplation is the neighbor to both meditation and creative focus. It is somewhere in the middle, like that space we occupied down the center of creativity and intuitiveness.

    The following is a list that doesn’t need to resonate with you at in its entirety. If you feel one point not another, then you could still move forward in the discernment that you may be psychic. And of course, this is not a complete list by any means.

    THE FIRST WAY YOU CAN KNOW IF YOU ARE PSYCHIC

    When you were a child, whether you have strong memories or not, you played and imagined very colorfully. Believing in, what adults called fairytales, was natural. It wasn’t even a belief; it was just how the world is.

    You felt life in your toys and in the games you played. You created worlds when you played, whether you played alone or with peers.

    It was real. It was your truth.

    That was your untarnished intuitiveness. That was you engaging in the psychic field and interacting with:

    – real spirit entities
    – real timelines, as in ones that exist in the Akashic records

    – and you were seeing the real psychic field.

    Not everyone recalls seeing grandpa at the end of the bed saying goodbye the day he died. But, first of all, not remembering it doesn’t mean it didn’t happen. It may have happened and it was just so normal for you as a child.

    And second, seeing dead grandpas is not the only way to be psychic.

    Perhaps as a child — your untarnished psychic abilities may have specialized in channeling rainbows from the 5th dimension.

    THE SECOND WAY YOU CAN KNOW IF YOU ARE PSYCHIC

    You have experienced magick in your life.

    Magick — in the forms of synchronicity, surprising manifestation, or a sense of knowing something was going to happen before it happened.

    Or perhaps you have had fleeting experiences of seeing something in the corner of your eye — maybe much more frequent or significant phenomena — even if you don’t know how to control it or conjure the experience, it is still real.

    And, if you have an inner dialogue, a sort of conversation partner, that you listen to and talk to when you need help… Sometimes people even talk out loud to “themselves” to this inner character…

    That is a sign of being connected to your spirit guides. That is a kind of mediumship.

    THE THIRD WAY YOU CAN KNOW IF YOU ARE PSYCHIC

    You are fascinated with the idea of being psychic. You could close your eyes now, take a deep breath to clear your mind, and daydream about how cool it is to be psychic – to be connected in an exciting and intimate way with the Universe.

    You can imagine deep sensing or seeing, and it feels exhilarating. It feels free, and fun – a childlike quality that, perhaps, you long to have in your life.

    That feeling is resonance. This is your spirit telling you – YES! You are psychic.

    IN CLOSING

    You can take the journey to de-condition yourself of fear, confusion, or disbelief in psychism.

    You can take back your personal spiritual sovereignty.

    And you can foster dormant psychic abilities.

    Remember, it is a journey, so take it one inspired step at a time.

    Stay in resonance with your excitement, joy, and freedom – that resonance will carry you forward.

    Emotional Hygiene and Emotional Fitness

    When we are young, we learn how to brush our teeth, take a bath, move our bodies, and eat our vegetables. I don’t know about you, but I did not receive the same tutelage for maintaining cleanliness and fitness for my emotional body as I did for my physical body.

    I don’t intend to criticize my parents and caretakers, nor anyone else who is a caregiver. Rather, I am recognizing that this may be a pattern and that it is time we review it.

    Of course, I am speaking as one who has grown up and continued to be immersed in a Western culture. I bow to the ancient wisdom of systems, such as Ayurveda, which teach holism for health and well-being.

    If you were fortunate enough to be taught emotional hygiene and fitness, or if you have, since childhood, taught yourself, there is still the challenge of being in a context that makes no time for these practices. In conventional Westernized workdays, there is no break to feed your emotions. I used to work in hospitality, and I never saw a sign in the bathroom reminding employees to wash their heart before returning to work.

    Just like our physical hygiene and fitness, we need to have daily habits of cleaning and strengthening the emotional body!

    This is not just a metaphor, in many ways it is literal. Let’s review the definitions of the words:

    Hygiene: conditions or practices conducive to maintaining health and preventing disease, especially through cleanliness.

    Fitness: the quality of being suitable to fulfill a particular role or task. An organism’s ability to survive and reproduce in a particular environment.

    As you read those definitions, think about your emotional body.

    We certainly get emotionally “dirty” in our day-to-day. We need to take out the emotional trash of what we pick up as well as what we create. We need to wash it off and flush it out.

    Here is a little structure to help you with your emotional hygiene. There are three parts to washing your emotional body:

    #1 Relaxation is the basin
    #2 Mindfulness is the water
    #3 Affirmation is the soap

    Think about how you wash your physical body. The timing and frequency aligns well as a measure for cleaning your emotions. Thus, at morning and evening, clean your emotional temple. Just like showering and bathing, it is hygienic to bookend your day with emotional cleanliness.

    In addition, reserve several moments throughout the day for upkeep, a mini clean and refresh. Think of this like hand-washing.

    Here is a breakdown of the three parts to washing your emotional body.

    1. Relaxation is the basin
      Think about the calm relaxed state as the basin, the shower, or bathtub that houses your cleansing. Allow emotions to soothe, calm and relax. Create a container of calm relaxation. Conscious breathwork is a surefire way to do this.

       


    2. Mindfulness is the water
      Mindfulness is the water that clears away the “dirt” and refreshes the emotions. To become mindful, you can either empty out the thoughts and create “no mind”, or you can focus deeply on one simple and present thought. Bringing your focus to your body, to become present and embodied, both creates a mindful state and deepens the relaxed state. You can visualize or feel yourself scanning your body with your awareness. Or you can activate a visualization, such as becoming a tree with roots and branches. I have a mediation on Insight Timer called, Become a Tree.
    3. Affirmation is the soap
      Now that you have the basin set and the water flowing, let’s get soaped up! Apply positive, affirmative, deeply felt thoughts or images. These affirmations must feel true to you. “I have a billion dollars” will only work if you feel the thought with complete positivity. Deeply felt gratitude and appreciation is a form of affirmation. (By the way, affirmations are your self-induced hypnotic suggestions that will tell your subconscious mind what you want to attract!)

      The more you charge up your affirmations or appreciations with feelings, the squeakier your emotional cleaning. The affirmations are the soap, and the feeling is the lather!


    Other generalized ways to improve your emotional hygiene include reviewing your habits.

    • Cleaner activities
      Ask these conscious questions:
      “What do I allow my emotional body to do?
      What am I feeling about on a regular basis?
      What am I saying with my emotions, both internally and externally?”Check with your feelings periodically and let them become a thought. Neutrally discern whether that is a helpful thought, if it is creating health for you. Or take step back and observe from the standpoint of your relaxed and mindful state. Any activity you would like to improve can be done gradually, so no need to panic about swift changes!
    • Cleaner places
      Ask these conscious questions:
      Where do does my emotional body go?
      Would it be healthier to spend less time around certain places or people (including virtual ones)?”

    Maybe you cannot cut out entire places or people to which your emotional body is exposed, but consider cutting down where you can, even if it is little by little.

    With these practices, we are at the place is where hygiene meets fitness!

    Now that you are clean and feeling fresh, let’s get fit! Emotional body fitness, just like the physical body, refers to diet (intake) and exercise (output).

    Conscious questions for your emotional diet:
    “What do I feed my emotional body?
    Is what I feed it rich with nutrients?
    Is it too high or too low in calories?”

    Being too high in emotional calories simply means taking in too much. Whether it is media, social media, work, friends, or family – if you are consuming more emotional calories than what is healthy, your emotional body will become dense and heavy.

    Emotional starvation is real. I have experienced it! Of course, if you feel like you are hungry for more emotional sustenance, then perhaps there are shifts that can be made in existing relationships. Communicating your needs and desires to your loved ones helps them to love you more, and it is loving toward them too!

    In the meantime, there is no shortage of angels and spirit guides who are available to support you, including emotionally. Maybe it is time to have a really juicy trance journey to connect with Spirit in a new way. YouTube, Insight Timer, and countless other low cost and free resources are available to deliver to you a delicious emotional meal!

    Like any diet, the nutritional value of your emotional intake is key. Consider changing the conversation. Gossip and complaining just may be the twinkies of emotional food! Sometimes we can pivot a conversation to something of more value.

    Consider changing the channel. You could improve your emotional intake by taking in great art and literature as opposed to the alternatives that soak up time and energy.

    Now, let’s discuss emotional exercise. Remember how the definition said that fitness is:

    “…the quality of being suitable to fulfill a particular role or task. An organism’s ability to survive and reproduce in a particular environment.”

    If the emotional body is stronger, has more endurance, is more flexible and agile, then it will possess a greater ability to “reproduce”, a.k.a. make a positive contribution to life.

    Ask these conscious questions about your emotional fitness program:
    “What is the movement practice for my emotional body?
    Is it varied, allowing an even strengthening?
    Are there movements that are too repetitive, causing degeneration or damage to an area?
    Is there healthy stretching?
    Do I have practices that create strength, endurance, and flexibility?”

    It comes down to strength, endurance, and flexibility. Braving life’s challenges can be the workout to accomplish all of this. Bringing our full Being to a situation and trusting that something good is coming of this will maximize your emotional fitness results.

    But fitness is not only the outcome of troubles. Positive emotional experience is just as strengthening! Implement a daily emotional fitness regimen with your spiritual and personal development practices, your creativity, and by being an emotional support to others. Be creative just for the love of it. Or perhaps it is time to check in on someone, just to listen and hold space. (Perhaps that someone is you.)

    Emotional hygiene and fitness can greatly improve emotional health. You are so important, so precious to the Universe. Nobody else could give the gift of you! So please do take good care because we need you and we love you!

    Negative Self-Talk — We All Got it — And It Ain’t Right!

    I hope you are blessed. There is a lot going on in this world, so do please take care of your energy hygiene!

    Speaking of energy hygiene…

    I have been in a dark night of the soul resulting in personal healing; an ascending spiral up from my core wounds.

    I am grateful (once again) for my wounds, as they make me more functionally sensitive and compassionate. So, here is what healing from my pain is teaching me today.

    The inner critic — IT IS ALWAYS WRONG!

    In any way that the voice and feeling inside your body/head is saying:

    “Not good enough. Broken. Always going to happen like this. The world is too hard. You started too late. You can’t do it. It’s not possible.”

    No matter how much “proof” it seems to have — it is still wrong! It knows your triggers, what you react to, so it knows how to present that false proof.

    The truth is, whatever the inner citric is telling you, the UNIVERSE is loving you through that very belief! You are being offered a life line from that very pain!

    When it is the hardest, that is when your guides, angels, ancestors, etc. are most available to you, pursuing you to give you what you need!

    Does that seem trite? Bypassing? Irresponsible? Too simple? Yeah, those are some other lies of the inner critic. It also tells us that love is limited and weak. I know that is a lie!

    Get softer than that harshness, that is a place to [re]start.

    Even if you just wonder what it could feel like to be perfectly loved by the Universe… even if you could just try it for a moment or two. In good times and bad, you are loved and loved and loved!

    The key to turning down the volume of the inner critic — which is a state of hypnosis, a bad one — is to go deeper into a calm, relaxed, surrendered state. Be vulnerable to love, let it find you.

    And sometimes, we just need to have faith. Yup, I said it. Faith. Good old-fashioned faith. Faith can make you physically healthier and generally better to be around, so that’s a good enough reason to try it!

    I have faith in you. I have faith in me. I have faith that love is pursuing all of us.

    In one of these mini-episodes of my podcast, Charmed Life, I discuss how limiting beliefs are a good sign. Really!

    Here’s how you can reframe limiting beliefs to be a good sign of your personal growth and manifestation process.

    Limiting/negative beliefs can all be traced back having been created in childhood, most likely between the ages of zero to eight. As children, we create “knowns” that live in the subconscious mind. These knowns are subconscious beliefs about what keeps us safe. The subconscious mind will not allow us to create anything that contradicts these knowns, no matter how much our conscious/intellectual mind understands what is actually better for us.

    For example: perhaps you fell off of your little tricycle when you were four-years-old and scraped your knee. To comfort you, mom gave you a cookie. The underdeveloped mental faculty of a child is likely to create an association between soothing pain/discomfort and cookies, or perhaps sugary foods in general. So as an adult, it could be very challenging to kick a habit of comforting yourself with desert.

    Now, nobody is here to blame mom or any other parental figure! This is all human nature and we’re all doing our best at all times.

    The thing is, limiting, or negatively impacting, belief is created from an unconscious urge to keep you safe or to help you survive. The energy of a limiting belief is, entirely, survival. Its whole function is survival.

    Therefore, when a limiting belief is threatened by conscious awareness, it fights back! It wants to survive, that is its whole job.

    Therefore, when you are aware of a limiting/negative belief, it is because you are evolving in your consciousness enough to actually threaten it. The tension between to-cookie-or-not-to-cookie is cognitive dissonance caused by your growth!

    The best thing to do when you experience this struggle is to recognize that you are growing. The frustration that you feel is actually the frustration of that limiting belief as it fights back. It is afraid of dying. You are not failing, you are actually on your path of success!

    Relax, congratulate yourself on your growing consciousness and be your own champion of growth. In this more relaxed, present and self-accepting state you will fall into natural alignment and your evolution will continue.
