    Negative Self-Talk — We All Got it — And It Ain’t Right!

    I hope you are blessed. There is a lot going on in this world, so do please take care of your energy hygiene!

    Speaking of energy hygiene…

    I have been in a dark night of the soul resulting in personal healing; an ascending spiral up from my core wounds.

    I am grateful (once again) for my wounds, as they make me more functionally sensitive and compassionate. So, here is what healing from my pain is teaching me today.

    The inner critic — IT IS ALWAYS WRONG!

    In any way that the voice and feeling inside your body/head is saying:

    “Not good enough. Broken. Always going to happen like this. The world is too hard. You started too late. You can’t do it. It’s not possible.”

    No matter how much “proof” it seems to have — it is still wrong! It knows your triggers, what you react to, so it knows how to present that false proof.

    The truth is, whatever the inner citric is telling you, the UNIVERSE is loving you through that very belief! You are being offered a life line from that very pain!

    When it is the hardest, that is when your guides, angels, ancestors, etc. are most available to you, pursuing you to give you what you need!

    Does that seem trite? Bypassing? Irresponsible? Too simple? Yeah, those are some other lies of the inner critic. It also tells us that love is limited and weak. I know that is a lie!

    Get softer than that harshness, that is a place to [re]start.

    Even if you just wonder what it could feel like to be perfectly loved by the Universe… even if you could just try it for a moment or two. In good times and bad, you are loved and loved and loved!

    The key to turning down the volume of the inner critic — which is a state of hypnosis, a bad one — is to go deeper into a calm, relaxed, surrendered state. Be vulnerable to love, let it find you.

    And sometimes, we just need to have faith. Yup, I said it. Faith. Good old-fashioned faith. Faith can make you physically healthier and generally better to be around, so that’s a good enough reason to try it!

    I have faith in you. I have faith in me. I have faith that love is pursuing all of us.

    Limiting Beliefs Are A Sign of Growth

    In one of these mini-episodes of my podcast, Charmed Life, I discuss how limiting beliefs are a good sign. Really!

    Here’s how you can reframe limiting beliefs to be a good sign of your personal growth and manifestation process.

    Limiting/negative beliefs can all be traced back having been created in childhood, most likely between the ages of zero to eight. As children, we create “knowns” that live in the subconscious mind. These knowns are subconscious beliefs about what keeps us safe. The subconscious mind will not allow us to create anything that contradicts these knowns, no matter how much our conscious/intellectual mind understands what is actually better for us.

    For example: perhaps you fell off of your little tricycle when you were four-years-old and scraped your knee. To comfort you, mom gave you a cookie. The underdeveloped mental faculty of a child is likely to create an association between soothing pain/discomfort and cookies, or perhaps sugary foods in general. So as an adult, it could be very challenging to kick a habit of comforting yourself with desert.

    Now, nobody is here to blame mom or any other parental figure! This is all human nature and we’re all doing our best at all times.

    The thing is, limiting, or negatively impacting, belief is created from an unconscious urge to keep you safe or to help you survive. The energy of a limiting belief is, entirely, survival. Its whole function is survival.

    Therefore, when a limiting belief is threatened by conscious awareness, it fights back! It wants to survive, that is its whole job.

    Therefore, when you are aware of a limiting/negative belief, it is because you are evolving in your consciousness enough to actually threaten it. The tension between to-cookie-or-not-to-cookie is cognitive dissonance caused by your growth!

    The best thing to do when you experience this struggle is to recognize that you are growing. The frustration that you feel is actually the frustration of that limiting belief as it fights back. It is afraid of dying. You are not failing, you are actually on your path of success!

    Relax, congratulate yourself on your growing consciousness and be your own champion of growth. In this more relaxed, present and self-accepting state you will fall into natural alignment and your evolution will continue.

    Daddies Can Be Tornadoes

    In an instant, vacuum sucks the air out of the world.

    I’m only six, so what I know about vacuum is the off-brand Hoover machine that my mother pushes around to make satisfying lines in the carpet. Alongside her, I push my off-brand Mattel toy that makes satisfying popcorn sounds as it sucks and blows little colorful balls housed in a plastic dome. 

    I don’t know how to relate the word vacuum to the instant that the air is sucked out of the world, but I am familiar with the feeling. Organically, I have learned the mechanism.

    If you’ve never experienced a tornado, you may not know that there is a moment of stillness. There is wind, rain, dark clouds blocking the light and a frenetic dance party of nature. But before the tornado actually begins, just after you see the funnel cloud forming in the sky, there is a vacuum that creates eerie stillness. It’s only eerie when you’ve learned what will happen next. The first time or two, until you have learned by that primitive method of learning called trial and error, you may experience the stillness as its original, unadulterated function. There are no learned associations or connotations. There are no dark clouds blocking the light offered by stillness.

    Having stillness in its right place, it is a provider of peace. Does it feel like the peace of God? Do you listen for the still, small voice?

    As a six-year-old Texan, I have learned to caution at the stillness. The silence is a warning siren. God is holding his breath at the apex after an inhale and this grace is your chance to take cover. 

    By age eight, I had learned what adults call irony. Maybe it is the literal learner in me, but I find that humans mirroring nature is un-ironic. It is our arrogance that fascinates at the similarities between human beings and other animal species. It is the misinformation of what dominion means that lends to the arrogance that first denies that we are nature. 

    A friend on Facebook recently attempted to shit on a video post celebrating an adorable dog. 

    “The only thing is, hugging is a human behavior, not a dog behavior.” 

    Oh really, Javier? So, dogs don’t use their fore legs to move things closer to their bodies? Or perhaps, dogs do not desire to be physically close to their human family members? My bad, I’m taking your statement too literally. I’m supposed to infer your very important point that we are morons for enjoying the dog and human video. 

    But we are nature. The irony is that we forget that fact. Dogs hug humans. Daddies can be tornadoes.

    By age eight, nature had taught me that when vacuum sucks the air out of the world, the stillness is the warning siren. The grace is there for you to take cover. Grab who you can in this brief moment, bring them with you into the closest make-shift foxhole. Try to run far if you can, because this storm happens inside. 

    My father, Daddy, if you will, was not so literal as am I. In both learning and behaving, I am more direct and literal, and Daddy was more inferential. He took in information, gave it his own meaning and embodied it as an internal weather system. Daddy’s barometer was not public facing. 

    As nature is ever seeking balance, my mother’s qualities of being literal must have been like magnet to steel attracting these two together to create home and humans.

    The ingredients for calm and combustion are the same. The product depends on your measurements. Stillness can be the result of balance or it can be the tipping point between the extremes in a rollercoaster ride. 

    In Texas, there are many storms that never result in a tornado, so it is foolish to fear the rain alone. Even when there is thunder and lightning, the outcome may be just a little commotion. So just try to stay dry until or unless the silent siren un-sounds. 

    By age eight, nature had conditioned me for the storms that occurred inside our home. The metaphors would be intolerable were it not for the fact that this is literally true. Sometimes, the Universe is a hack writer, don’t you think?

    Inside, it rains consistently as Daddy drinking. On occasion, there is commotion; a discussion that an eight-year-old cannot map. Nothing happens during the commotion besides Mama very directly speaking her mind and Daddy responding to some of her comments with cutting insults. Daddy’s tone is moderate. He doesn’t raise his voice much. 

    The first, single second that vacuum sucks the air out of the world, I wonder if this is the storm ending. Is Daddy turning to walk away or to cock back his fist? Will Mama stop, or will she say one more thing to tip over the momentum? Will I stay tucked in my bed, or will an older sister scoop me out and put me in a car? Will there be the thunderous sound of a gun this time?

    All these years later, I have reclaimed stillness. Having passed three years ago, so has Daddy. Mama? Well, I’m not sure. That is her work as my stillness is my own.

    Ahhhh, the beginning of a new romantic relationship! The thrill of all of the new sensations, the new connection, the physical excitement – UM, NO THANK YOU!

    I don’t know if most people love the beginning stages of a brand-new romance or not. Movies, television and storybooks seem to portray it as the ultimate desirable experience of romance – if not life, in general. Personally, I feel like the collective consciousness, the media or big brother (or the cabal?) has been trying to sell me on the belief that the honeymoon should never end. And if it does end, your life is qualitatively and palpably diminished.

    If you love the beginning stages of romance, then that is awesome for you! I, on the other hand, have always DETESTED that stage! To me, this stage provokes anxiety and discomfort. Good, bad or mundane, I know that my reaction to new relationships is directly related to my hypersensitivity.

    Fortunately, I have been with my husband for nearly fifteen years (six-and-a-half, wedded), and I’m and proud to say that the honeymoon is over!

    If you are sensitive too, then I think you will appreciate this little hack I have discovered to ground feelings of overwhelm and anxiety in relationships of various types. I’m going to share with you how to use the Universal Law of Resonance to soothe that hypersensitivity and build self-esteem.

    One of my dear friends is currently single and, in his heart and soul, he is ready to be in a committed relationship. As he embarks into the familiar frontier where every single man has gone before, he reflects upon his previous experiences of bonding anew. He wonders if his habits could be shifted or enhanced so that the courtship process could be more comfortable – perhaps even feel safer.

    I advised my friend to use the Law of Resonance on those feelings of apprehension.

    The Law of Resonance is a universal law, which many of you may have either casually heard or thoroughly studied. The most well-known universal law is, of course, The Law of Attraction. All of the universal laws, however many you choose to name and define, are observations of a certain characteristic of universal energy.

    The Law of Resonance observes that energy of harmonious frequencies resonate with one another. The Law of Resonance actually supersedes the Law of Attraction, in that the Law of Attraction is activated by the Law of Resonance. LoA is LoR’s bitch. You heard it here, run tell!

    When consciously activated, the Law of Resonance helps you to embody your total power as a creator. When running resonant energy, there is nothing that holds back the process of manifestation. Your resonance is uniquely yours, and the Universe actively supports your most genuine frequency because it is what the Universe covets.

    I’ll say that again: the Universe covets the purest, most potent version of you!

    That feeling of wanting to hasten the connection can be maddening! To ground those feelings of admiration and attraction, remember: you are a part of the Law of Resonance. In order for you to feel those feelings of attraction, you must be offering the same frequency.

    Stated more directly: the qualities that you admire in another person are reflections of the very same qualities that you possess.

    When the desire for another feels overwhelming, remind yourself that you are already whole, and that the feeling of resonance is a reminder of your own quality; a quality that is asking for acknowledgement and even celebration.

    Do you want to apply for a promotion but feel intimidated by another candidate’s talent? Or perhaps you feel nervous around your boss because you admire her confidence and success. Turn those positive observations back to yourself. Feel into your true essence and affirm that you, too, are uniquely talented and brilliant.

    After all, the Universe covets you!

    We are nature. That is to say, we, humans, are nature, as I intend to address this to humans. This is one point I think we forget as we walk around in life. Perhaps it is a symptom of, what mystics call, the veil of forgetfulness. Perhaps it is a symptom of being submerged in a society that is largely tuned to separation consciousness. It is probably both and more.

    Separation consciousness is unnatural. This is evident in the function of an ecosystem. If one component of the ecosystem lacks, the whole of the ecosystem lacks. It is much like the colloquialism of how a chain is only as strong as its weakest link.

    This is not woo-woo, feel-goody stuff. It is fact. The most stoic of skeptics cannot use sober logic to resist the truth of ecosystem function.

    And so, we are nature and we are an ecosystem.

    While humans tend to need a reminder of these facts, other animals and the rest of nature do not – except, of course, when they are responding to human unconsciousness.

    Being as they are, a more natural expression of energy, animals and nature are tuned to the subtle energetic frequencies that serve the highest good of the ecosystem. Such tuning obliges them to support the others in the ecosystem.

    Experiencing signs and messages from nature is actually quite logical. Having a pleasant emotional experience tunes us to those more subtle and natural frequencies, and so your delight makes you a better citizen of the ecosystem.

    Animals and nature, by default, show us how to connect to the subtle energy of spirit, to unified consciousness. They will appear in your own energetic field in perfect timing, to raise the vibration of your feeling state and to inform your conscious mind. Messages and signs are specifically tailored to you in perfect flow and perfect synchrony. Thus is the function of ecosystem.

    As Sonia Choquette succinctly and poetically states it: “Animals are open vessels for divine.”

    Nature’s presence is there to support, inform and serve your highest good. Your highest good is the highest good of the ecosystem. Even if the experience is also available to many, like for example, a rainbow, the specificity for you is included in its intelligent design.

    This week, I received a message from migrating Painted Lady butterflies. I am in California and as I write this in March of 2019, and we are experiencing quite a show of delight and inspiration. An unusual volume of butterflies is migrating from Mexico to Oregon. The Painted Lady butterflies seasonally make this journey, but our excessively rainy winter set the stage for an abundance of wild flowers to bloom, which in turn, welcomed the butterflies. Here is the journal of my special message from these glorious beings.

    Monday, 3/11/19

    Today, while sitting at a stop sign, hundreds of butterflies began to engulf my car, flying over and around, all going in one direction.

    As a Spirit message, butterflies are post-transformation, freedom, ascension and light body orientation. I felt into the kaleidoscope of butterflies. I celebrated the message.

    I felt gratitude for the encouragement to take flight, to be free and to explore new, creative expression. I felt Spirit encourage me to pay deeper attention, to receive another layer of messaging. It was notable how the beauties were all flying in one direct path. I looked up to find the sun, our faithful compass, to inform me of the cardinal directions. It was about 11am, so the sun sat high in the East.

    Archangel Metatron is associated with the central sun, the light of Source, and is the one who supports lightworkers as we follow our soul mission. The symbol of the sun as a compass reminds us that our own soul, our own essence of Source, is a faithful compass.

    The butterflies’ path of flight flowed from the sun’s position as they traveled, decidedly, from East to West.

    Archangel Raphael, the angel of healing, oversees the East. Archangel Gabriel, the angel of clarity, expression and creativity, oversees the West.

    The butterflies demonstrated a path of transformative ascension. In the chakra system, energy ascends from the Heart Chakra to the Throat Chakra. The energy system manages our multidimensionality, fourth density energy being managed by the Heart and fifth density, by Throat.

    Healing – being abundantly whole – naturally evolves to expressing who you truly are. In this alignment, all there is left to do is create.
